	SOUPER BOWLS OF HOPE
	Souper Bowls is an annual event that brings the community of Greater Victoria together to help fund the much needed Summer Opportunities Program (SOP) for youth at risk in the downtown core. Each year the Souper Bowls of Hope attracts 100's of supporters that are given the opportunity to select a hand crafted bowl, dine on soup prepared by master chefs, listen to local musicians and participate in both live and silent auctions. All funds raised at the event go directly to the operation of SOP and pay for food, supplies, outings and assist with staff salaries and summer employment for 3 post secondary students. Souper Bowls is supported by the talented members of the South Vancouver Island Potter's Guild who make both 'take home' bowls and remarkable other clay creations. In addition, high school students from 15 local high schools show their concern through the concept of youth helping youth by making imaginative bowls for your enjoyment. The event is also sponsored by numerous members of the business community.
